Launch of a project for implementation of integrated Bulgarian maritime surveillance

The project "Implementation of Integrated Bulgarian Maritime Surveillance (InBulMarS), based on a Information Sharing Environment (CISE) for surveillance of the EU maritime territory - with the acronym InBulMarS 2" has been launched. The opening meeting will be held on June 23, 2021 in Varna.

The program envisages the presentation of the project for the media representatives on June 23, 2021 at 12.00, in the Roslin Dimyat Hotel.

The meeting will be attended by the Executive Director of Maritime Administration Executive Agency Capt. Zhivko Petrov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Food and Forestry and Head of the MA of the Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Program 2014 - 2020 Georgi Sabev, Rear Admiral Kiril Mihailov, Commander of the Bulgarian Navy, representatives of the European Maritime Safety Agency ( EMSA), the stakeholders, as well as the project partners - the Navy, the General Directorate of Border Police, the Customs Agency, the Executive Agency for Fisheries and Aquaculture and the State Agency for National Security.

The total budget of the InBulMarS 2 project is BGN 3,017,090, of which BGN 2,262,817 (85%) are provided by the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund, and the national co-financing amounts to BGN 754,272 (15%). The deadline for implementation of the project is February 4, 2023, and the Maritime Administration Executive Agency is the beneficiary.

With the implementation of the InBulMarS 2 project, a national infrastructure will be built and a graphical user interface for integrated maritime surveillance will be delivered, installed and personalized. The implementation of the project will create the necessary conditions for cross-border and cross-sectoral exchange of information within the Republic of Bulgaria and on the territory of the European Union, based on the CISE data model.
