Bulgaria and Serbia expand cooperation in transport connectivity

It is important for us to find solutions that minimize regulatory obstacles to the transport business. We fully understand the difficulties faced by drivers from countries in the Western Balkans in implementing the 90/180 rule. The Minister of Transport and Communications, Korman Ismailov, said during a meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia in Sofia H. E. Milan Ravić.

Both expressed satisfaction with the constructive dialogue and the measures taken for the development of road transport between the two countries.

Minister Ismailov welcomed the progress on the modernization of the railway route between Niš and Dimitrovgrad, with a length of nearly 120 km, as well as the opening of the new joint border checkpoint Kalotina 2 / Gradina 2, which will ease traffic during peak periods. “This is an important proof of the efforts our two countries are making to ensure maximum comfort and efficiency of connectivity,” the minister noted.
