Caretaker Minister Hristo Alexiev expects the situation at the border with Greece to be resolved through diplomatic channels

Caretaker Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Hristo Alexiev stated in a letter to the Minister for Infrastructure, Transport and Networks of Greece Christos Spirtzis that he expects from the Greek state to take all necessary measures to prevent the closure of the border-crossing points and the hindering of the free movement of goods and people between the two countries.

In his correspondence caretaker Minister Hristo Alexiev expressed his gratitude to  Minister Christos Spirtzis  for the actions undertaken by the Greek side so far to prevent the blocking of the border-crossing points by the protesting farmers.

Hristo Alexiev pointed out that the Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications is ready to look for a resolution of any problematic situation that could hinder the free movement of vehicles across the Bulgarian-Greek border through diplomatic channels.

"I declare my readiness to keep active contacts, so as to be maintained good neighborly relations and bilateral cooperation between the two countries", says also the letter.

Caretaker Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Hristo Alexiev sent letters to the EU Commissioners Violeta Bulc and Elzbieta Bienkowska in which he informed them on the situation at the Bulgarian-Greek border.
