Deputy Minister Nikolay Naydenov: Development of logistics guarantees the success of the transport policy in Bulgaria

The development of logistics is a guarantee for the success of the transport policy in Bulgaria. This was stated by the Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications Nikolay Naydenov during the official opening of TRANSPRESS logistics center.

"Despite the crises that Europe and the world are going through, the Bulgarian transport business shows a resilience, which gives hope to all of us that we will be able to cope with the challenges together. Proof of that is this modern logistics center", Nikolay Naydenov pointed out. He was categorical that such investments should be supported by the State and business, because this will give new opportunities for the transformation of Bulgaria into a logistics center in the region.

During the opening, the first installation in the Balkans, working on the principle of an assembly line for pallet shipments, was demonstrated. The installed training simulator for additional training of truck drivers was also presented. Deputy Minister Nikolay Naydenov welcomed these initiatives and pointed out that this is a step in the right direction, both for improving road safety and for the implementation of innovative solutions and systems, to improve the efficiency and quality of the service offered.

The event was also attended by the Minister of Economy and Industry Nikola Stoyanov, the Executive Director of the Bulgarian Investment Agency Bogdan Bogdanov, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of NC "Industrial zones" Andreana Premyanova, the Chairman of the Board of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Tsvetan Simeonov and the founder and Manager of TRANSPRESS Veselin Stoyanov.

BGN 16 million have been invested in the construction of the new TRANSPRESS logistics center. The base is located on an area of 40 decares in the Industrial Park Sofia – Bozhurishte, and has the first installation in the Balkans, working on the principle of an assembly line for pallet shipments. It is the 13th for the company in Bulgaria and is already part of the network of 430 points of the international logistics leader DACHSER. 100 additional jobs will be gradually opened in it.
