Deputy Minister Turk checked on the spot the work on the restoration of the railway traffic between Raduntsi and Dabovo

Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications Murad Turk insisted on mobilizing all available resources to clear the Raduntsi – Dabovo section and restore the movement of trains as soon as possible. He, together with representatives of the National Railway Infrastructure Company, carried out an urgent inspection of the place where a passenger train hit a fallen land mass this morning as a result of a landslide caused by intense rainfall. 

The movement of trains in the section Raduntsi – Dabovo was temporarily suspended and an alternative organization of transport was introduced.

“Our top priority is the safety of people and the speedy recovery of traffic. We are working at full capacity and we will not compromise either on security or on the organization of transport, "Deputy Minister Turk said during the inspection.

He spoke with the NRIC emergency teams working in the field with heavy equipment. They committed to restoring the movement of trains in the station tomorrow morning.
