Deputy Minister Valery Borissov and prof. Hristo Pimpirev validated a postage stamp

Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Valery Borissov and the head of the Bulgarian Antarctic Expedition prof. Hristo Pimpirev validated a postal–philatelic edition, dedicated to the 25th mission of the Bulgarian researchers to the frozen continent.

The Antarctic theme is one of the most popular of the Bulgarian Postage Stamp Issuing said during the ceremony Deputy Minister Valery Borissov. Among the most popular ones so far have been the postage stamp issued in 2002 on the occasion of the Tenth National Antarctic Expedition and in 2012 - of the Twentieth campaign.

Today's edition presents a new look at the world Arctic philately, as depicts for the first time the participants in the expedition in action. The artist of the projects Ivelina Velinova depicts the Bulgarian crew of a boat facing severe challenges on the frozen continent.

The circulation of the postage stamp that was launched today, is 11 000 pieces and of the envelope – 2 067 pieces.
