I am happy that on May 24th, when we say “Go forth, enlightened people,” I can be the first host of the 20th World Meeting of Bulgarian Media with the validation of a postage stamp. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport and Communications Grozdan Karadzhov at the ceremony for the issue of the stamp.
“This is happening on the most Bulgarian holiday, the day of our script, of our language. It unites us – without wars, without revolutions, without defeats, losers, and winners. It is a day of Bulgarian education and culture, that which makes us human,” he said.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport and Communications Grozdan Karadzhov and the Director General of the Bulgarian News Agency Kiril Valchev placed the postmark on the postage stamp dedicated to the 20th World Meeting of Bulgarian Media.
The issue reproduces a mural from the Klisura Monastery “St. St. Cyril and Methodius.” The author of the artistic design is Lyudmil Veselinov.
The stamp is printed in a collector's sheet and this distinguishes it from previous postage stamps related to anniversaries of BTA.
