Minister Ismailov met with the Ambassador of Cyprus His Excellency (H. E.) Haralambos Kafkarides

Minister of Transport and Communications Korman Ismailov held his first official meeting with the head of a diplomatic mission in Bulgaria. He talked to Excellency (H. E.) Haralambos Kafkarides, Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus to Bulgaria. The meeting took place in the context of Cyprus' active role as the current host of the Presidency of the Council of the European Union and stressed the importance of coordination and dialogue on key European transport and communications policies.

During the conversation, Minister Ismailov presented the main priorities of the caretaker cabinet and outlined the strategic directions in the work of the ministry.

"The main task of the government is to organize and conduct fair and transparent elections, as well as to increase the quality and efficiency of administrative services. In parallel, we will continue to work actively for the development of international policies and processes in the transport sector – one of the key areas of the European economy, "the Minister stressed.

His Excellency (H. E.) Haralambos Kafkarides stated that Cyprus views Bulgaria as a predictable and consistent partner both within the European Union and in the region of Southeast Europe. He expressed confidence that bilateral cooperation will continue to develop dynamically and pragmatically.

During the meeting, topical issues of mutual interest in the field of transport and communications were discussed, as well as opportunities for expanding the bilateral partnership. The two countries agreed that active and constructive dialogue is a key factor in promoting economic development and deepening cooperation between Bulgaria and Cyprus in the European and regional context.
