Minister Ivaylo Moskovski: Chinese investments shall contribute to economic growth in the Black sea region

Investments from China shall significantly contribute to economic growth in the Black sea region. This was stated by the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Ivaylo Moskovski today in Bourgas, where he pays a visit together with the Deputy Chairman of the National Development and Reform Committee of China Ning Jizhe and the accompanying governmental Chinese delegation. They visited Port complex Bourgas and the adjacent  ports – Bourgas-East, Port Natigation Maritime Bulgare and Bulgaria-West.

Deputy Chairman Ning Jizhe observed that he is in Bulgaria with the task set by the Prime Minister of the Peoples Republic of China to continue what has been started during of the visit of Prime Minister Boiko Borissov in Beijing in November.

On Saturday the delegation was acquainted by Deputy Minister Anton Ginev with transport infrastructure of the city of Varna. There was a visit of the Ferryboat complex, of port Varna-West and Port Varna-East. There have been presented the investment opportunities in port and railway infrastructure, as well as the activity of “Port Varna” EAD as an operator. After the presentations made by SE “Port Infrastructure”, NC “Railway Infrastructure” and Port Varna EAD, members of the delegation showed interest in the construction of Intermodal terminal Varna, as well as in the modernization of railway lines Varna – Rousse and Karnobat – Sindel.

The Chinese governmental delegation included also representatives of the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, China Development Bank, as well as of transport companies among which China railway too.
