Minister Ivaylo Moskovski: I am optimistic that the Mobility Package will reflect the Bulgarian haulers’ demands

After last night's meeting between Prime Minister Boyko Borissov, the French President Emmanuel Macron and the German Chancellor Angela Merkel, I am optimistic that the Mobility Package will be adjusted and objectively reflect the Bulgarian haulers’ demands." The Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications, Ivaylo Moskovski stated this before the protesting haulers in the capital. In his words, most of the arguments were accepted during the talks and a readiness to approve the texts proposed by the Bulgarian side was also expressed. Minister Moskovski also said that the main aim of the Mobility Package is to guarantee the drivers’ social rights and rules concerning the conditions to be complied with   pursue the occupation. He also announced that the German and French leaders had instructed their experts to start working with the Bulgarian team in the Permanent Representatives Committee - COREPER towards the most balanced and compromise text that includes the fair Bulgarian haulers’ demands.

"I declare once again that the government and all institutions in the state stand behind the haulers’ demands and work to protect their interests," said Ivaylo Moskovski, emphasized that this position will be asserted in the future.
