The postage stamp, dedicated to the first Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union, will remain in time, both with its philatelic and symbolic value. This was stated by the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications, Ivaylo Moskovski during the validation of the second post-philatelic edition dedicated to the Bulgarian mandate as the leader of the European Union.

The validation seal was put together with the Minister for the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union, Lilyana Pavlova and the Chief Executive Director of Bulgarian Posts, Deyan Daneshki. Minister Moskovski also said that the postage stamp would be a good memento of the well-done organization during the Bulgarian Presidency. He added that the edition will be given to the participants in the EU-Western Balkans summit, which will take place in Sofia, Bulgaria on May 17, 2018, as well as all the others in the upcoming events within the Presidency.

Parashkev Feredzhanov is the artist of the edition. The edition depicts the Bulgarian artist Kamen Popov’s poster on the occasion of the accession of Bulgaria to the European Union. The postage stamp is in circulation 20 000 pieces.
