MTC will work for more efficient implementation of the national interest in the general direction of EU development

The Ministry of Transport and Communications and the Bulgarian representatives in the European Parliament will work for more successful implementation of the national interest in the Council of the EU. This was agreed by Minister Nikolay Sabev and MEPs Andrey Novakov, Radan Kanev, Petar Vitanov, Angel Dzhambazki and Ilhan Kyuchyuk during a meeting today. The parties agreed that the most effective tool for protecting the Bulgarian interest is the active role of Bulgaria in the discussions in the Council of the EU.

The representatives in the meeting agreed on the position that in order to successfully defend the Bulgarian interest, coalitions and a unified position on all key topics for the country should be formed. Minister Sabev and the Bulgarian representatives of the EP agreed to create an effective mechanism for cooperation at all levels at national and European aspect and with the active participation of interested representatives of industry and science. This mechanism will support the work of the Prime Minister in developing stable positions defending the Bulgarian interest, in line with the general direction of EU development.
