The government approved a decision today via written procedure to secure the 1.2 million BGN necessary for the execution of the activities. A contract with the contractor is due to be signed by the end of the day.
In parallel, the preparation of equipment and the mobilisation of specialised teams have begun and will continue tomorrow. The final stage of the operation to tow "Kairos" to a safe position in the Bay of Burgas is scheduled for Sunday, weather permitting. Three tugboats and a specialised generator will be used to move the vessel, providing the power supply to activate the hydraulics and raise the anchor.
