By a postal-philatelic edition we celebrate a quarter century since the establishment of the Atlantic Club of Bulgaria. This was stated by Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Valery Borissov today in Sofia Hotel Balkan (Sheraton) during the ceremony of validation an illustrated envelope dedicated to the anniversary of the club.

A stamp on the envelope put Deputy Minister Valery Borissov, the US Ambassador to Bulgaria Eric Rubin, the CEO of "Bulgarian Posts" EAD Deyan Daneshki, the President of the Atlantic Club of Bulgaria Solomon Passy and one of the founders of the club prof. Lyubomir Ivanov.

Deputy Minister Valery Borissov said also that the illustrated envelope is the tenth philatelic edition related to the theme of the North Atlantic Treaty. In his words, it points the significance of the Atlantic Club and the North Atlantic idea in recent Bulgarian history. "I am convinced that the message of the philatelic issue will not only reach thousands of people in our country, but also round the world," added the Deputy Minister.

Still in 1999 was issued a commemorative postage stamp on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of NATO. In 2001 a postage stamp was dedicated to 10 years Atlantic Club of Bulgaria. In 2011, the Bulgarian edition has been enriched by another postage stamp for the 20th anniversary of the Atlantic Club of Bulgaria.

Today's edition is issued in 1 122 copies. Author of the project is the artist Katerina Kiricheva.
