Road Transport Administration inspectors already work with a specialized information system for road control

Road Transport Administration inspectors already work with a specialized information system for road control. This was announced by the Executive Director of Road Transport Administration Executive Agency Boyko Ranovski during the presentation of the project. He pointed out that the digital system allowed real-time checking of information for vehicles, drivers and carriers in national and European registers.

When road irregularities are detected, the issued acts are automatically entered into the system, being printed and delivered to the offenders on the spot. Citizens without a permanent address in Bulgaria will immediately receive a criminal decree without the need to visit the regional departments of the administration. "This will increase the transparency of the Agency's work and limit the opportunities for corrupt practices when administrative violations are detected", Boyko Ranovski pointed out.

The vehicles of the control teams of Road Transport Administration Executive Agency are equipped with mobile thermal printers, specialized mobile devices and communication equipment. The system allows integration with POS terminals and within a year it is planned to equip the control vehicles with such.
