A Third Bulgarian Airline becomes a member of the International Air Transport Association – IATA

Airline Fly2Sky has become the 350th member of IATA. The official ceremony for the airline's accession was held in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport and Communications, Grozdan Karadjov.

"This is a significant achievement for the Bulgarian aviation community. As of today, a third Bulgarian airline joins this prestigious global organisation, opening up new opportunities for the sector in our country," Deputy Prime Minister Karadjov emphasised.

He added that Bulgarian aviation continues to develop actively, despite the serious challenges it faced during the pandemic. At present, 19 licensed air carriers operate in Bulgaria with a combined fleet of 105 aircraft, with 20 new aircraft added in the last year alone. In 2024, more than 11.5 million passengers were served at Bulgarian airports – a clear indicator of the sector’s dynamic growth.
