Two cars were taken off the road for carrying out unregulated transportation of passengers through Maxim application

In a joint operation by the Road Transport Administration Executive Agency , the Ministry of the Interior and the National Revenue Agency, two cars were taken off the road for one year for carrying out unregulated passenger transport through the "Maxim" application. The registration plates of the vehicles were removed, the documents of the cars and the drivers were seized. The imposed sanction for this type of violation is BGN 2,000. Pre-trial proceedings have been initiated for the cases.

The operation is part of the measures taken to combat the unregulated transportation of passengers.

We recall that at the beginning of this month, the Minister of Transport and Communications Nikolay Sabev sent a signal to the companies Google and Apple about the "Maxim" application. In the letter, it was pointed out that the service offered by Maxim is carried out in violation of the Bulgarian legislation regulating the road transport of passengers against payment. The minister made an explicit request to stop offering the mobile application on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria through the Google Play and Apple App Store platforms.
