The withdrawal of 22 tanks from the cargo composition began, which derailed early this morning near the village of Pyasachevo. At the same time, burnt tanks are also being removed.

The institutions acted extremely professionally and in synchrony, which prevented the fire from spreading near the village of Pyasachevo. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport and Communications Grozdan Karadzhov announced earlier today at the scene of the incident.

He stressed that at no time was there a danger to people from nearby settlements. "With the professional actions of the General Directorate for Fire Safety and Civil Protection, the fire was contained in less than two hours. The reaction of Fire Safety, the Bulgarian State Railways (BDZ), the National Railway Infrastructure Company, Maritsa Iztok Mines, the carrier, the regional governor and the local government is extremely adequate and fast. The local government provided additional water sources, BDZ -locomotives for the withdrawal of the unaffected wagons. The emergency teams of the National Railway Infrastructure Company have been assisting the fire brigade since the morning to control the fire with people, equipment and materials, the Maritsa East Mines provided heavy equipment to secure the perimeter, "Grozdan Karadzhov summarized. 

The investigation of the accident will be carried out by the investigative bodies and the National Air, Water and Railway Accident Investigation Board, which are already on the ground.
