Highball 4681 composed of locomotive 44-141 and 3 carriages with a total mass of 123 tons, engaged Mihailovo – Svoboda railway section from 12:05 to 12:55 hours LT, due to a fire occured in the locomotive engine while running. Fire Safety was called through the 112 emergency phone.
No one was injured among the passengers and staff. The fire was extinguished by 15:55. The locomotive was released by the authorities of the MoI and Fire Safety at 5 p.m. Damages were caused to the locomotive and the contact network. Delays of 11 trains were caused, diverted were 6 and extra 9 trains were appointed.
