Anna Michneva-Natova

Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications

Anna Mihneva-Natova holds a Master’s degree in Law from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski and has more than 25 years of experience in the water sector and the management of European projects.

She began her professional career at the International Law Directorate of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Later, she took up a position at the Maritime Administration Executive Agency, where she was responsible for international relations and the management of European programmes and projects.

For more than 10 years, she served as Director of the Project Management Directorate at the Bulgarian Ports Infrastructure Company, and in 2022 she also performed the duties of Director General.

In June 2023, she was appointed Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications, and since September 2024 she has once again served as Director of the Project Management Directorate at the Bulgarian Ports Infrastructure Company.

She has completed a number of additional qualification programmes at the University of Virginia, the Rhodes Academy of Oceans Law and Policy, the Clingendael Institute of International Relations – The Hague, the University of Cambridge, and the University of Amsterdam.

She is fluent in English, Russian, and Spanish.
