Christina Velinova

Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications

Christina Velinova holds a Master’s degree in Economics and is a recognized expert in the civil aviation sector.

She began her professional career at the Ministry of Transport in 1999 as an expert in the Foreign Transport Policy Directorate. Over nearly 17 years, she held various management positions in the Road Transport Administration Executive Agency and the Civil Aviation Administration Directorate General. From 2013 to 2017, she served as First Secretary at the Permanent Representation of Bulgaria to the European Union in Brussels, responsible for matters related to air and road transport. From 2017 to the present, she has been an Adviser on European Policies at BULATSA (the Air Traffic Services Authority State Enterprise), and in the period May – December 2021 she also served as Caretaker Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications.

Christina Velinova is fluent in English and German.
