The European Commission and MTITC organize Regional Transport Investment Conference

On 23 and 24 March 2017 at Marinela Hotel, Sofia will be held Regional Transport Investment Conference. The Mobility and Transport General Directorate of the EC in collaboration with the Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications organize the Event.

The aim of the Forum is to get together at one-place representatives of the European Commission, European Investment Bank, Bulgarian Government and Institutions, the public sector and the business. In the Conference will participate the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Hristo Alexiev, the European Commissioner for Mobility and Transport Violeta Bulc, the European Coordinators Karla Peijs and Catherine Trautmann, European ministers of transport, Vice-President of the EIB Pim van Ballekom etc.

During the Event will be discussed the possibilities for increasing the investments in the Transport sector. There will be presented also the published by the EC, on 8 of February 2017, Call for applications, through which are provided 1 Billion Euros as an addition to private initiatives directed to key transport projects. The aim is 1 Billion Euros of the European Funds to be united with other alternative sources of finance for boosting the private investments in projects of public interest.
