Minister of Transport and Communications

Korman Ismailov graduated from the 19th Sec. School “Elin Pelin” in Sofia and has a degree in Economics from the Selçuk University, Republic of Türkiye.

His professional career began in the banking sector, at the Sofia branch of the Ziraat Bankası. Later he worked as a business consultant and translator from Turkish language in the private sector.

In the period 2003-2009 he was a member of the Management Board of the State Lottery, and from 2006 to 2009 he was a member of the Expert Council of the Bulgarian School of Politics "Dimitar Panitsa".

He was a Member of Parliament in the 41st National Assembly in the period 2009-2013, and a Member of Parliament in the 43rd National Assembly in the period 2014-2017, also as member of the Committee on Budget and Finance, the Committee on European Affairs and Control of European Funds and the Committee on Defence.

From 2011 to 2017 he was Chair of the Board of Directors of the Foundation Freedom and Dignity. In 2012, he was the founder and first Chair of the People's Party Freedom and Dignity, and later co-founder and co-chair of the Reformist Bloc coalition.

He later worked as a financial consultant in the field of private insurance, and since 2020 has been in the outsourcing of business processes on international companies’ projects.

Korman Ismailov was born on September 13, 1972 in Sofia. He is married and has one child. He speaks English, Turkish and Russian.
