The Ministry of Transport and Communications has published an updated list of the approved water corridors and registered watercraft along the Bulgarian Black Sea coast for the 2026 summer season. The information has been compiled by the Executive Agency “Maritime Administration” with the aim of enhancing safety and increasing public awareness. The primary purpose of the public database is to enable users to verify, either in advance or in real time, whether a particular water recreation facility is operated by a registered operator or whether it constitutes an unauthorised activity posing risks to health and life.
The official register includes all designated water corridors that have completed the required procedures and have been granted authorisation to operate, as well as the jet skis declared by their owners for towing inflatable equipment. For the convenience of the public, the information is presented in detail and includes the precise number of each designated area, the name of the respective beach, the date of registration of the facility, as well as a list of the specific water recreation services offered and the company operating the water base. The information will be updated promptly as new facilities are registered during the season. Ensuring transparency serves as a preventive measure against unauthorised practices and guarantees that the water bases authorised to operate are equipped with serviceable equipment, lifesaving equipment and qualified personnel.
The publication of the register is aimed at minimising the risk of incidents in water areas and ensuring a completely safe environment for Bulgarian and foreign tourists.
