The Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications announced a competition for the election of two members – representatives of the State in the Board of Directors of Plovdiv Airport EAD.
At the request of the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Hristo Alexiev, full transparency and openness of the selection stages will be introduced in the MTITC system during the competition phases for election of members of the management bodies of public enterprises, and the hearings of the candidates will be broadcast on the Ministry's Facebook page. This will enable all citizens, media and stakeholders to follow the whole process.
Candidates for members of the Board of Directors of Plovdiv Airport EAD have to meet the compatibility requirements under Art. 20, para. 1, items 1-8 and item 13 of the Public Enterprises Act. The results of each stage of the competition will be made public.
The competition will be held in two parts: written and oral.
In the written part the candidates present a concept for the development of the enterprise. The concept also includes a strategy for the development of the company with a focus on attracting new customers (passenger and cargo business), as well as interaction with the tourism and freight industries. In the concept, the candidate also presents his contribution to the management of the enterprise. All concepts will be published on the Ministry's website.
Candidates who have received at least 20 points will be admitted to the oral part of the competition, and the hearing will be broadcast online on the MTITC Facebook page.
