National Railway Infrastructure Company (NRIC) has announced market consultations for the implementation of the European Railway Traffic Management System (ERTMS) - level 2, in the Ruse-Kaspichan railway section. The project includes the activities of design, supply, construction and commissioning of new systems for ERTMS level 2, dispatch management, security equipment, telecommunications, GSM-R/FRMCS, passenger announcement systems and information electronic boards, clock system, video surveillance of stations and railway crossings, etc.

The funds are provided by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP). The total amount of the investment is BGN 205,860,112.

NRIC invites all interested parties to submit their proposals by July 26, 2022.

The call for market consultation is in connection with the preparation of a public procurement procedure with the subject "Implementation of ERTMS level 2 (ETCS and GSM-R or newer generation digital radio of FRMCS type or equivalent) in the Ruse- Kaspichan railway section - design, delivery, construction and commissioning" and is to be found at the following email address: https://app.eop.bg/today/224502

MTC is the first Ministry that uses market consultations as a tool to achieve the best selection of potential contractors for the relevant order and transparency of the entire procedure. At the end of June, such a procedure was successfully completed for the delivery of new trains, also with funds from NRRP.
