The first regular airline between Sofia and Ljubljana will be open within a few months. This was announced by Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Velik Zanchev during the first aviation event of the program of the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

He stated that the aviation sector in Europe should focus on modernizing the infrastructure, introducing the new technologies and improving the relations between the countries.

The “Sofia - European Capital of Sport” postage stamp was validated today by Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Dimitar Genovski, the Mayor of Sofia Yordanka Fandakova and the President of the Sofia municipal council Elen Gerdjikov. The event took place at the Regional Museum of History in Sofia in the presence of the Executive Director of "Bulgarian Posts" EAD Deyan Duneshki, famous names in Bulgarian sports, media and philatelists.

The reason for the talks was the commitment of Prime Minister Boyko Borissov to the implementation of the main priority in the program of the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union on the Connectivity of the Western Balkans.

We are going to work together with the Ministry of Transport of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on preparing cooperation agreements in the field of air and maritime transport. This was announced by the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications, Ivaylo Moskovski after his meeting with the Minister of Transport of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Nabil bin Mohammed Al-Amoudi. Roaming prices between Bulgaria and Macedonia will be reduced. This became possible after today’s signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications of the Republic of Bulgaria and the Ministry of Information Society and Administration of the Republic of Macedonia on reduction of international roaming tariffs for telecommunication services.

In his words, the Ministry has expressed its position that for the road transport development is good to have a single entity to be responsible for the policies being implemented by the industry.

Bulgaria is preparing a Memorandum on Roaming Tariffs Reduction with the governments of the Western Balkan countries. This was stated by the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications, Ivaylo Moskovski during the opening of the conference "Logistics Horizons 2025". Moskovski emphasized that one of the main aims during the Bulgarian Presidency will be the accession of the countries of the Western Balkans to the European Union.

Cooperation between Bulgaria and Bosnia and Herzegovina in the field of road transport is encouraged. This became possible after the Agreement signed today in Sarajevo to amend the Agreement between the two countries on the international carriage of passengers and goods by road. The document was signed by the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Ivaylo Moskovski and the Minister of Communications and Transport of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ismir Jusko.
