On November 5, 2021, the Annual Conference of the Bulgarian Association of Cable and Communication Operators (BACCO) was held under the motto "The Big Picture". At the event was discussed key elements in the development of the telecommunications industry, the EU Recovery and Resilience Facility and the goals and activities set in the National Recovery and Resilience Plan for digitalization and connectivity, the development of e-governce and future actions of the National Regulatory Authority for the release of radio spectrum.
Mrs. Zlatina Nikolova, Director of the Information Technology Directorate at the Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications took part in the discussion panel "Do we have a plan?" on the theme "The goals, opportunities and challenges to digital connectivity set out in the Recovery and Resilience Plan". She presented the challenges facing the successful implementation of the project "Large-scale deployment of digital infrastructure in Bulgaria". For the realization of the project in the term determined by the EC it is necessary to unite the efforts of the public sector and the telecom industry.
At the event the upcoming coalition of BACCO and the Bulgarian Telecommunications Association (ASTEL) by the end of 2021 was announced, but the new organization still has no name.
