WSIS Forum initiated photo contest

WSIS Forum recently initiated another contest inviting all of those with a camera to capture how information and communication technologies (ICTs) are playing an enabling role in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Photography, as a way of transforming the lives and helping development, is a medium that can communicate and inspire. By capturing realities around you where ICTs are making impact, join the first time ever WSIS Forum Photo Contest in 2017!

This contest aligns with WSIS Stocktaking process, including the WSIS Prizes contest, with the focus on incredible development work around the world, with the use of ICTs as one of the tools. We encourage you to submit your most powerful photos that illustrate innovative, effective, and inspiring efforts from your communities.

Send photos of your projects, people, and organizations that are leveraging the power of ICTs to make difference. The contest runs from 2 March to 2 May 2017. The three winning entries in the WSIS photo contest will be awarded and presented at the Forum. In addition, the winners will be invited to join ITU’s #ICT4SDG campaign. A dedicated poster and other campaign materials highlighting their work will be created and shared within ITU and its stakeholders.
