International Telecommunication Union (ITU)
The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) is the specialized UN agency in the field of telecommunications, based in Geneva. It was founded in 1865 when the first International Telegraph Convention was signed in Paris. It established the International Union for Telegraphic Communications, which later grew into the ITU.
