Under the chairmanship of Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Valery Borissov and Deputy Minister of Telecom and Mass Communications of the Russian Federation Rashid Ismailov in Sofia was held the Eighth Meeting of the Standing Bulgarian-Russian Working Group "Information Society and ICT".
Experts from the Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications, the Communications Regulation Commission and representatives of the telecommunications business started elaboration of the national position on the proposals of the European Commission to reform the electronic communications.
Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technologies and Communications Valery Borissov hosted the meeting to form a position on the new draft legislative package on connectivity within the EU.
Twelve electronic municipal services are already available to the residents and the companies in Radomir. Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Valery Borissov and the mayor Plamen Aleksiev personally examined how the system works. Among the first users of municipal electronic services in the city was Sylvia Mircheva. She submitted an online application for marital status and made a payment for the service via the Internet.
On May 10, 2016 the Council of Ministers hosted the conference "Data inviting - a year later".
During the event the progress of Bulgaria on the Open Data Platform (https://opendata.government.bg) was presented. Bulgaria's Open Data Portal where state institutions publish sets of statistics and data. 177 sets of data as public information available to be used for commercial and non-commercial purposes could be found on the portal.
The Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications /MTITC/ supports the efforts of the European Commission to break down language barriers by creating a new Automated Translation platform in the official languages of the European Union - CEF.AT. During a national seminar that took place in Sofia, MTITC presented its vision on the types of documents that institutions should provide and share, so that the new system be adapted to the specific needs of public administration.
