Roaming prices between Bulgaria and Macedonia will be reduced. This became possible after today’s signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications of the Republic of Bulgaria and the Ministry of Information Society and Administration of the Republic of Macedonia on reduction of international roaming tariffs for telecommunication services.

We are considering measures to change the driver training methodology and the use a differentiated approach of determination of the continuation of the driving lessons. This was announced by Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Anguel Popov during the official ceremony of the Annual Awards for Contribution to Road Safety, during which he awarded the program "People, Roads, Cars" of the Bulgarian National Radio with the Media Section prize.

The Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications, Dimitar Genovski, The Honorary Chairman of the Union of Philatelists in Bulgaria Simeon Saxe-Coburg Gotha and the Mayor of Pleven Georg Spartanski validated two post-philatelic publications. Bulgaria and Cyprus will sign a Memorandum of Cooperation between the maritime administrations of both countries. This was discussed today at a meeting between the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Ivaylo Moskovski and the Minister of Transport, Communications and Works Marios Demetriades. The document is expected to be signed at the end of November.

The European Commission approved the project on the construction of 40 km of “Struma” Motorway in the sections Blagoevgrad - Krupnik, Kresna - Sandanski and the tunnel of “Zheleznitsa”. The total amount of the funds allocated by the EU Cohesion Fund is 628 million BGN. National co-funding amounts to 111 million BGN.

We support all efforts to set up a Bulgarian Automobile Chamber, which will include all carriers. This was announced by the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications, Ivaylo Moskovski during a public presentation of the draft Law on the Bulgarian Automobile Chamber. In his words, the Ministry has expressed its position that for the road transport development is good to have a single entity to be responsible for the policies being implemented by the industry.

Bulgaria is preparing a Memorandum on Roaming Tariffs Reduction with the governments of the Western Balkan countries. This was stated by the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications, Ivaylo Moskovski during the opening of the conference "Logistics Horizons 2025". Moskovski emphasized that one of the main aims during the Bulgarian Presidency will be the accession of the countries of the Western Balkans to the European Union.

Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Dimitar Genovski and the chairman of the Communications Regulation Commission Veselin Bozhkov validated a postage stamp on 20 years since the establishment of the independent regulator.

The reason for the urgent action was the last night incident with a company’s bus, which was carrying passengers on the line Sofia - Sunny Beach.

Cooperation between Bulgaria and Bosnia and Herzegovina in the field of road transport is encouraged. This became possible after the Agreement signed today in Sarajevo to amend the Agreement between the two countries on the international carriage of passengers and goods by road. With the development of transport infrastructure Bulgaria creates the necessary prerequisites for attracting cargo flows from Asia to Central and Western Europe, stated Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Velik Zanchev during the Second Meeting of the Ministers of Transport of the Central and Eastern European countries and China. It is held as part of the 16+1 platform in the period 25 - 26 October in Warsaw, Poland.

Ensuring a reliable and predictable legal framework for the electronic communications will stimulate the investment in high-speed connectivity and the competition of digital networks and services. A joint oil spill removal drill was carried out in the Gulf of Varna. The exercise was attended by representatives of DG "Emergency Rescue", Maritime Administration Directorate-Varna, European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA) and others.
