The Parties to the North Atlantic Treaty, signed at Washington on April 4, 1949,
Being satisfied that the security of the North Atlantic area will be enhanced by the accession of the Republic of Bulgaria to that Treaty,
Agree as follows:
Article I
The States Parties to the North Atlantic Treaty, and the States which accepted the invitation to the Partnership for Peace (PfP) issued and signed by the Heads of State and Government of the Member States of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation in Brussels on 10 January 1994 and which subscribed to the Partnership for Peace Framework Document, hereinafter referred to individually as Participant and collectively as the Participants:
