We support all efforts to set up a Bulgarian Automobile Chamber, which will include all carriers. This was announced by the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications, Ivaylo Moskovski during a public presentation of the draft Law on the Bulgarian Automobile Chamber. In his words, the Ministry has expressed its position that for the road transport development is good to have a single entity to be responsible for the policies being implemented by the industry.

Bulgaria is preparing a Memorandum on Roaming Tariffs Reduction with the governments of the Western Balkan countries. This was stated by the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications, Ivaylo Moskovski during the opening of the conference "Logistics Horizons 2025". Moskovski emphasized that one of the main aims during the Bulgarian Presidency will be the accession of the countries of the Western Balkans to the European Union.

The reason for the urgent action was the last night incident with a company’s bus, which was carrying passengers on the line Sofia - Sunny Beach.

The Bulgarian experience in issuing international transport permits (CEMT) was highly appreciated during a meeting of the International Road Transport Group at the International Transport Forum (ITF) held on October 12-13, 2017 in Moscow. During the forum, discussions were launched on determine the ECMT/CEMT permits allocation approach after 2019.

Improving connectivity and sustainable development in the Black Sea region will be among the priorities of our policy during the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union. This was stated by Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications, Velik Zanchev during the Information Day in the context of the forthcoming European Maritime Day - Burgas, 2018. The event was held today at the Permanent Representation of Bulgaria to the European Union in Brussels.

In his words, the increasing number of victims and people affected by car accidents is a serious problem that has to be resolved in a determined way.

The safety of navigation in the common Bulgarian-Romanian Black Sea region will be ensured via providing a place of refuge for accommodation of vessels in need of assistance. This will result from the Agreement signed today in the presence of the Prime Ministers of Bulgaria and Romania Boyko Borissov and Mihai Tudose and the Transport, Information Technology and Communications Minister Ivaylo Moskovski and the Romanian Ministers of Transport Alexandru - Răzvan Cuc and of Communications and Information Society Lucian Şova.

The Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union will enable the integration of the Western Balkans into the European digital policies. This was announced by Dimitar Genovski, Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications, during a conference organized by the American Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria on “Europe - the Head of the Digital Transformation: the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union 2018”.
