Draft of amendment and integration of the Electronic Communications Act envisages sanction from BGN 50 000 to BGN 2 000 000 for the mobile operators that break the new rules for roaming in the European Union. It was published for public discussion on the website of the Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications /bg/suobshteniya/normativni-aktove-suobshteniya/proekti-na-normativni-aktove-suobshteniya/proekt-na-zakon-za-izmenenie-i-dopulnenie-na-zakona-za-elektronnite-suobshteniya-0.

Next year Sofia will be a digital leader in the region, stated by the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Ivaylo Moskovski at the closing session of the Digital Assembly, which took place in the period 15 - 16 June 2017, Valletta, Malta. He announced to the forum participants that during the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union in 2018, Sofia will host the European Digital Assembly.

The first Bulgarian postage stamp, dedicated to Carl Djerassi' s encyclopedic nature, was validated today. The validation stamp was put by Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Dimitar Genovski, Deputy Minister of Health Svetlana Yordanova and the son of the world-famous scientist Dale Djerassi.

The Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications (MTITC) launched the elaboration of the Thematic Plan for Issuing of Postage Stamps in 2018. By August 30, 2017 are expected proposals for significant events, anniversaries and celebrations which to be marked by postal-philatelic editions in 2018.

The first postage stamp, dedicated to Bulgarian actor Grigor Vachkov, was validated today. The ceremony gathered three generations of relatives of the star of Bulgarian cinema - wife Silvia, daughter Martina and granddaughter Rada, who is also an artist of the postage stamp.

The Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Dimitar Genovski granted to the mayor of Sofia Yordanka Fandakova, the award in category “Best digital city“ from the annual study of Darik radio.

Bulgaria and Ukraine issued the first joint philatelic edition between the two countries' postal administrations. In Sofia the stamp for validation was placed by the Executive Director of Bulgarian Posts Deyan Daneshki and the Ambassador of Ukraine Mykola Baltazhy. The theme of the edition is related to the preservation of the unique inhabitants of the Black Sea.

The Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications issued a postage stamp on the theme "100 Years of the Battle of Doyran".

Our main task is to accelerate the work on the implementation of the priorities in the governmental programme. That stated the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Ivaylo Moskovski, during the MTITC governance handover ceremony. He said also that he has had the possibility to convince himself in the professionalism of the experts at the Ministry and he will count on their maturity and experience within the realization of the policies in the field of transport, information technology and communications as well as within the solving of difficult tasks.

The Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications has launched in use a postal-philatelic edition „EUROPE 2017 – castles”. Since 1992 up to the present stage, the European postal administrations have included a common edition on topic „Europe”, which is a symbol of the wish of integration and cooperation between the countries of the Old Continent.

The success of the technological companies depends on the innovations, and they are closely related to the protection of the intellectual property. That stated the Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications, Georgi Todorov in the discussion, dedicated to the World day of intellectual property – 26 April.

Single electronic access to data on the existing telecommunication infrastructure and possibilities to build electronic communications networks with minimal capital expenditures will be ensured with a project of the Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications (MTITC). The work on it has started with the signing of a contract for building a GIS-based electronic platform "Single Information Point" with funding from the Operational Program "Good Governance". The project value is 1 998 668.00 BGN and is expected to be completed in 12 months.

Bulgarian Postage Stamp Issuing joins the celebration of the 100th anniversary of Rotary Foundation, by issuing a thematic postage stamp. The validation seal was put by the Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Lubomir Hadjiysky  and head of the Bulgarian branch of the Foundation Dimitar Dimitrov.

The Information Society Forum (WSIS) of the International Telecommunication Union announced a photography competition, in which may participate also Bulgarian authors. The topic of the photographic works must be related to the way in which the information and communication technologies change the world.

Proposals for participation in the competition are accepted from 2 March to 2 May 2017. The authors may send photos of technological projects as well as of persons and organizations that use technologies for a positive change of the world.

The Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Georgi Todorov validated a postage stamp on topic “70 years Bulgarian Civil Aviation and 15 years Bulgarian Airlines Association“.

The Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications will organize a series of events in the field of transport policy and telecommunications, as part of the calendar of the forthcoming Bulgarian Presidency of the EU Council in 2018. The initiatives were proposed after extensive public consultation, including with NGOs and ICT businesses and is due to be agreed with the EU institutions.

Cybersecurity can be maintained through joint efforts and synergy between countries, companies and individuals, stated the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Ivaylo Moskovski at the opening of the Third Regional Cybersecurity Forum.

The Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications (MTITC) hosts the Third Regional Cybersecurity Forum. From 29 to 30 November in Sofia will gather over 80 experts from European countries and NGOs, as well as from the European Commission, NATO and the World Bank. Organizers of the prestigious event are the International Telecommunication Union and the European Union Agency for Network and Information Security (ENISA).

Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Valery Borissov and UNESCO Director-General Irina Bokova validated a postal-philatelic edition dedicated to the 60th anniversary of Bulgaria's membership in the organization.

Since the mid 20th century until now in Bulgaria have been issued more than 20 stamps on the role of the United Nations and the structures thereto, said at the ceremony, Deputy Minister Valery Borissov. He recalled that the first one was dedicated to the UNESCO building in Paris.

The Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications and the National Association of Municipalities will cooperate in the construction and maintenance of a Single portal for telecommunications networks and physical infrastructure. Deputy Minister Valery Borissov hosted today a meeting on the upcoming interaction regarding the future legal act that will regulate this field.
